For my desktop, therre’s some time I’ve left Ubuntu behind. I still use it on my servers, but I’m getting more and more deceived by those guys…

Last example : John the ripper not working.

The bug was filed 2012-10-26 and as of today is still not fixed - though I must admit I didn’t try out 14.04LTS yet. But I doubt it is else the bug would have been closed in launchpad.

Really sad that even after 18 months to such an important tool for security is still not running correctly !
